A MOTORCYCLE crash on Sappers Rd, near the intersection of Mimegarra Rd, in Nilgen has left a 19-year-old man in a serious but stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital.

A WA Police spokesman said the man failed to negotiate a left-hand bend on the road.

He said the accident happened on a gazetted road so there would be a police investigation.

Lancelin Police, who were contacted at about 10am on Saturday, March 3 attended the crash and said the motorcycle had crossed to the wrong side of the road and then travelled for about 200m into dense scrub.

St John Ambulance attended the accident but then the man was taken by the RAC rescue helicopter, which landed at RPH about 12.20pm.

WA Police said there was a priority two accident in Butler the same day.

The spokesman said a blue Mazda 2 had collided with a cyclist near the Lukin Dr and Shepperton Dr intersection.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
