FIRE and emergency crews have been mopping up after a vehicle fire near Ledge Point, which earlier today led to the closure of Indian Ocean Dr.
At 12.52pm the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) said at 11.55am crews had still been mopping up and a lane would be open to traffic soon.
A DFES spokeswoman said they had received a report at 9.52am about a ute on fire on the side of Indian Ocean Dr.
The report also said there were a couple of spot fires.
Earlier Lancelin Police had tweeted that police were responding to an incident on Indian Ocean Dr near Ledge Point and that motorists should expect delays.
About 1.25pm Main Roads WA tweeted that Indian Ocean Dr from KW Rd to Ledge Point Rd was still closed.
At 2pm Main Roads WA tweeted that Indian Ocean Dr has reopened and for motorists to exercise caution and drive to conditions.
