
A MAN, who has worked in aged care in northern and eastern suburbs, is due to appear in court on Friday, February 24.
Sex assault detectives charged 56-year-old Armand Lutula Wema in relation to incidents they allege happened at two aged care facilities in July last year and January this year.
Police allege in July 2022, when he was working in an aged facility in the northern suburbs, he indecently assaulted an 84-year-old female resident.
They also allege in January this year, the man who was working in an aged care facility in the eastern suburbs, sexually assaulted a 71-year-old female resident and indecently assaulted a 93-year-old female resident.
Mr Lutula Wema was arrested in Nollamara on January 24 and charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault and one case of indecent aggravated sexual penetration without consent.
He appeared before the Armadale Magistrates Court on January 25 and was remanded in custody after bail was refused.
