THE Two Rocks Australia Day Breakfast organised by the Yanchep Two Rocks Community Recreation Association for Friday, January 26 runs from 8am to 10.30am at the Phil Renkin Community Centre.
Association president Julie Otremba said there will be music by Pete Robson and a bouncy castle for children.
The Two Rocks Play Group will have an activity table set up for younger children.
From 10.30am to 11am the community awards – including citizen of the year and community group of the year and youth achiever of the year – will be presented.
Mrs Otremba said the breakfast was partly sponsored by Yanchep Sun City.
“We have volunteers that assist on the day from the Two Rocks Emergency Scouts and Yanchep Little Athletics as well as our own volunteers from the association,’’ she said.
She said new members were welcome.
For anyone interested in becoming a member of the association membership forms will be available at the breakfast.
Meanwhile, more than 550 people will become Australian citizens during the City of Wanneroo’s 2018 Australia Day celebration at the Wanneroo Showgrounds.
The city will also present Australia Day awards.
