Bus passenger dies after crash on Joondalup Dr

ONE of the passengers injured in a bus crash on Joondalup Dr yesterday has died.

This morning WA Police said a 61-year-old male passenger who sustained critical injuries in the crash died in hospital overnight.

Yesterday police said the crash happened about 11.05am when a Transperth bus driver lost control and collided with a big tree while travelling west on Joondalup Dr.

Seven passengers sustained injuries including the 61-year-old man who was taken to Joondalup Health Campus while a 59-year-old woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries.

Five other passengers with minor injuries were also taken to Joondalup Health Campus.

A WA Police spokeswoman said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.

Woman critically injured in Wanneroo bus crash
