DUE to the bad weather today’s community memorial service for Edmund Dowling will be held at the Yanchep Sports & Social Club and will start a bit earlier than previously announced.
The memorial service was going to be held at Yanchep Lagoon but organiser Kerrie France-Poole said the bad weather forecast had led to the change of venue.
The community memorial service for Mr Dowling, who died on July 16, will start at 4.30pm.
Known to everyone in Yanchep and Two Rocks as “Ted” Mr Dowling was a great supporter of theatre, actors and youth.
Mr Dowling introduced culture and theatre to the Blessing of the Fleet events in Two Rocks which then morphed into theatrical productions.
