Children’s choir rehearses for show

The North Coastal Children’s Community Choir has performed at the Limelight Theatre in Wanneroo.

THE North Coastal Children’s Community Choir will be performing at the Wanneroo Agricultural Show in November.

Before that the not-for-profit choir caters, which for children aged five to 12-years-old, will be at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in October.

Janet Blenkinsop from the North Coastal Children’s Community Choir said the children had been enthusiastically rehearsing on Wednesdays at the Butler Community Centre for their upcoming performances.

She said when the children’s choir performed their show Songs from the Movies at the Limelight Theatre in Wanneroo they were loudly applauded.

While dressed in a uniform made by one of the parents the choir sang Hallelujah, Memory, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Follow The Yellow Brick Road and Ghost Busters.

The choir next performances will be at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, Clarkson on Sunday, October 22 at 2pm and the Wanneroo Agricultural Show at noon on Saturday, November 25.

The choir will be singing Christmas Carols at Mindarie Festival and Satterley’s Christmas Lights.

Children are most welcome to join the choir, make new friends, gain confidence singing and learn how to harmonise – no audition is required.
