Damaged Two Rocks TV transmission facility to be replaced

During the replacement process next week the Two Rocks television services will be temporarily unavailable.

TO the Community of Two Rocks and Yanchep,

TX Australia continues to provide television transmission on behalf on Channel 7, Channel 9, Channel 10, ABC and SBS to your local community.

As you are aware, the area experienced a significant bushfire in December last year, during which, our transmission facility was severely damaged by fire and heat.

In response to the fire, TX Australia staff were promptly able to restore DTV services to the community within a few days albeit a temporary fix.

Long lead times for equipment and the site requiring engineering approval to confirm its safety, prevented the facility from being replaced with new, until now.

Replacement of damaged equipment and infrastructure which includes transmitters, electrical, building and antennas is scheduled to commence on the morning of Wednesday, May 20.

During the replacement process the Two Rocks television services will be unavailable.

Weather permitting it is anticipated the works will be completed and services restored by the following afternoon on May 21.

Transmission from the metropolitan sites will not be impacted, tuning to these sites may be an alternative for some residents.

On behalf of TX Australia, we would like to thank you for your understanding during this time, as we look to restore the much loved free to air television services in our community.
