I purchased my home in Yanchep many years ago.
At that time I was told by the shire that deep sewerage was on the cards for Old Yanchep.
I have lived here now for close to 30 years and am sad to say, as yet, no deep sewerage.
It is very hard to get the septic tanks pumped out today, apart from the enormous rise in cost and the reluctance of the pumping businesses to do any digging.
Hopefully the shire may come to the party with help for the aging community by either supplying the trucks and labour to do this job or doing what they promised by installing deep sewerage.

Editor’s note: In WA the Water Corporation provides sewerage services not local governments.
Back in 2016 Yanchep News Online reported that Old Yanchep was not a priority for deep sewerage at that stage but will request an update from Water Corporation.
