JOONDALUP detectives have charged a Yanchep man after stopping a vehicle in Wangara on Tuesday, September 4.
A WA Police spokesman said about 2.10am officers stopped a Holden Commodore with false plates.
Police will allege that when searching the vehicle they found a quantity of methylamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, some cash and other stolen property.
The spokesman said officers searched house in Yanchep where they allegedly found a sawn-off shot gun, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and stolen property.
They charged the 23-year-old man with failing to ensure safe-keeping of a firearm/ammunition, four counts of possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property, possessing any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant, unlicensed person possessing a firearm/ammunition, possession of a firearm with circumstances, two counts of possession of prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply and stealing a motor vehicle.
He was due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 5.
