Visitors to the Yanchep National Park can try out EasyRider Adventures’ electronic personal transports.

THE term electronic personal transport probably means little to most people but if you want to see them in action get down to Yanchep National Park.

Staring in about a fortnight visitors to the park will be able to hire an EPT from EasyRider Adventures and go on a tour.

EasyRider Adventures owner Michael Bone said the tour would take visitors to all the favourite areas people would normally walk to in the park.

Mr Bone said the everyone had heard of Segway transporters but the EPTs were much better as they were adaptable for all ages and abilities and had even proved beneficial for some autistic children.

EasyRider Adventures have been at the park since July.

The business was supported by the City of Wanneroo’s economic development team from business concept through to getting approval to operate in the national park (a first for WA).

EasyRider Adventures is one of the businesses on Discover Wanneroo a new website the city is launching this week.

The website is designed to promote City of Wanneroo businesses, events, attractions and activities in an effort to encourage visitors and residents to explore the city to discover and enjoy its many experiences.

Mayor Tarcey Roberts said people would have access to a one-stop shop to source information whilst discovering arts, events and lifestyle options within the city.

Cr Roberts said the ‘guides’ part of the website was powered by Scoop Digital, who powered multiple websites across WA and were the state’s biggest online arts, events, travel and lifestyle guides.

“Operators are encouraged to submit and manage their own free listing meaning that content can remain accurate and up to date with a fully integrated digital network.

“Their content is then published across multiple websites and guides across WA while the city will market the website and create opportunities for cross promotion.

“It’s a great platform for small businesses to gain website traffic and generate visitors to their online presence and business.”
