EGLINTON residents will be able to enjoy direct access to the beach once an Amberton foreshore project is completed next year.

Stockland WA general manager Col Dutton said the $4 million foreshore development project would provide residents and visitors with easy access to the beach from Cinnabar Dr, a playground, and parking facilities and later on a café overlooking the beach.

Stockland celebrated the start of construction on the first stage of the project with a sod turning event on Friday, October 6 attended Butler MLA John Quigley and City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts.

Mr Dutton said the beach access, playground and car park were expected to be completed mid to late next year, while the cafe launch was scheduled for 2019.

“It will be a convenient location where they can meet with family and friends and enjoy easy and quick access to the beach, while the café will be a fantastic spot to have a bite to eat whilst enjoying breathtaking views across Amberton beach to the ocean,’’ he said.
