YANCHP and Butler residents can take their caravans and trailers for a free safety check on Saturday, March 17.
The City of Wanneroo is hosting free caravan and trailer checks at its Ashby operations centre to ensure they are safe to tow.
Past inspections have uncovered a range of faults including worn brakes and wheel bearings, electrical problems, suspension issues and worn tyres – all of which have the potential to contribute to crashes.
The road safety initiative, organised by the city’s RoadWise working group, aims to give motorists peace of mind before travelling during the busy Easter and school holiday period.
Caravans and trailers can be checked from 8am to noon at the Ashby operations centre, 1204 Wanneroo Rd, Ashby.
For more information contact the city’s traffic services team on 9405 5072.
