Wanneroo Festival and the other events provide free entertainment while supporting local businesses, performers and community groups.

ON November 21 the free event Sunset Sounds: Coastal Sessions heads to Old Nursery Park in Yanchep as part of the City of Wanneroo’s season of community events.

Before that the city’s 2026-27 signature events series will start with the Halloween Spooktacular on October 31 at Houghton Park in Carramar.

The weekend following Halloween Spooktacular a Sunset Sounds: Family Beats will be held at Highview Park in Alexander Heights on November 7.

The series includes family festivals, live music, outdoor concerts, community fun days and a multi-cultural event across the city, from Girrawheen to Two Rocks before concluding with the month-long Beach to Bush arts festival in May.

There’ll be concerts, food trucks, fireworks, markets and more across parks, beaches and town centres.

A highlight will be Symphony Under the Stars in February, featuring a 70-piece orchestra and the winner of the Search for a Star singing competition

The series aims to celebrate local talent, community connection and provide free entertainment for families.

Mayor Linda Aitken said the city’s events calendar continued to be a highlight for residents and visitors.

“The signature events series is one of the city’s most important community programs, bringing people together through free, accessible and memorable experiences from Girrawheen up to Two Rocks,” she said.

“This year’s line-up features something for every age and interest from family fun days and community festivals to live music and large-scale events that have become clear favourites.

“Beyond creating opportunities for residents to connect and celebrate, these events attract visitors to the city, boosting local businesses and showcasing everything our community has to offer.”

The 2026-27 program includes major events such as Wanneroo Wonderland, Symphony Under the Stars and the Wanneroo Festival, which are expected to attract visitors from across the Perth metropolitan area while supporting local businesses, performers and community groups.

The city encourages residents to plan ahead and attend multiple events throughout the season.
