Y.HUB is hosting a free Starting a Business workshop for those looking to start or improve their small business ideas.

As part of Y.hub’s Business Spark development program, the free Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) workshop will be run on Saturday, September 22 starting at 10am.

Starting a Business will introduce participants to the first steps in establishing a small business from an initial assessment – which looks at your suitability to run a business – to financing your business idea and identifying sales opportunities.

Another workshop, Dapper design for small business, is scheduled for Thursday, September 20 from 6pm, where participants will learn to create professional social media graphics free of charge.

Y.hub manager Paul Leone said the centre was working with key partners to support residents who would like to develop their skills and knowledge.

“Business Spark is for anyone who wants to know more about business or master technologies underlying the ecosystem,’’ he said.

He said Starting a Business was being delivered with support from the City of Wanneroo as part of its ongoing commitment to economic development in the region.
