ATLANTIS Beach in Two Rocks has almost sold out its first release of blocks in the estate.

Atlantis Beach sales agent Blaine Hall-Jones said only three lots remained in the Blaxland release, which was made up of 114 lots.

More than 100 homes have been built on the lots.

Mr Hall-Jones said the Blaxland release was the first land release at Atlantis Beach.

He said the development would result in more than 6000 new homes and a wide range of community facilities during the next 15 to 20 years.

“These new community facilities include five new schools, shops, medical centre and more than 40ha of parklands,’’ he said.

“The first new school, Atlantis Beach Baptist College opened earlier this year and a new medical centre will start construction shortly.’’

He said the Blaxland release included a big park with play equipment overlooking the ocean as well as the future primary school.

“An oval has been constructed on the primary school site for public use and includes AFL goal posts.

“The three remaining lots for sale at the Blaxland Release are priced from just $119,000.’’

He said the lots were value for money considering their short distance from facilities and their closeness to the ocean and Two Rocks, which has shops, a marina and a boat ramp.

On September 17 Yanchep News Online reported the McGowan Government’s plan for a $6 million upgrade to be carried out at the Two Rocks marina during the next two years.

Transport Minister Ms Saffioti said improvements were needed to address the marina’s ageing infrastructure, improve safety and provide a foundation for future redevelopment opportunities.

Ms Saffioti said the long-term plan was for the Two Rocks marina to provide visitors with an experience similar to that at Hillarys boat harbour which generated employment and millions of dollars for the economy each year.

Mr Hall-Jones said they expected the three lots to sell quickly following the government’s announcement in the 2017 Budget to make the Yanchep train station a reality by 2021.

“Yanchep is just a short distance from Two Rocks and the new railway line will significantly cut travelling time to and from Perth,’’ he said.
