A 26-year-old man was in the Perth Magistrates Court on September 23 after he was charged with breaching his bail conditions.

A MAN who breached his bail conditions and appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on September 23 has been remanded to appear back in court on Monday, October 5.

The 26-year-old man was charged by child abuse squad detectives as part of an ongoing child abuse investigation.

The man was initially charged in May 2020 in relation to sexual offences alleged to have been committed against a male child who was aged between 13 and 15 years old at the time of the alleged offences between 2014 and 2016.

It will be alleged the man organised to meet the victim online.

The man was charged with six counts of sexually penetrating a child of or over 13 and under 16, one count of attempting to sexually penetrate a child of or over 13 and under 16, one count of procuring a child of or over 13 and under 16 to do an indecent act, five counts of indecently dealing with a child over 13 and under 16 and one count of a persistent sexual conduct with child under 16.

He first appeared in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on these charges on Monday, June 8  and is next due to appear in the same court on Monday, October 5.

The investigation continued and further alleged victims were identified.

In September 2020 the man was further charged in relation to sexual offences which are alleged to have been committed against a male child and a female child who were aged between 12 and 15-years-old at the time of the alleged offences between 2012 and 2016.

The man has been further charged with three counts of sexually penetrating a child of or over 13 and under 16 years, 15 counts of indecent dealings with a child under 13 years and two counts of persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16.

He first appeared in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on the additional charges on Monday, September 21 and will reappear on Monday, October 5.

Further, it will be alleged during the course of the investigation the man was found to be in the company of two unsupervised children, which was not permitted under his bail conditions which led to him being charged with breaching his bail conditions.

He was refused bail and appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on August 15 and then appeared in the same court on September 23.
