Man in court after Alkimos assault

WA Police have charged a 28-year-old man after a 21-year-old man was assaulted at a Malleefowl Way home in January.

A MAN was due in court today, Sunday, April 30 to face charges after a man was allegedly attacked in an Alkimos home earlier this year.

WA Police said Joondalup detectives charged a 28-year-old Gosnells man as a result of their investigation into an incident on Sunday, January 22.

A police spokeswoman said it will be alleged the man entered a home in Malleefowl Way and assaulted a 21-year-old man who was an occupant of the home.

She said the victim received serious injuries to his hand and back.

The Gosnells man, who was due in the Perth Magistrates Court, was charged with aggravated burglary and commit, aggravated armed assault with intent to rob, grievous bodily harm and an act or omission causing bodily harm.
