A MAN charged after a serious accident in Breton Bay on Easter Sunday is due in court again on May 10.
A 31-year-old Malaysian man first appeared in the Joondalup Magistrates Court Friday, April 21.
WA Police said the 31-year-old Malaysian man was charged with four counts of careless driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and two counts of careless driving occasioning bodily harm after the crash near Lancelin on April 16.
Police alleged a Toyota Corolla sedan driven by the 31-year-old man collided on Indian Ocean Dr with a Mazda hatchback driven by a 52-year-old man.
A police spokeswoman said the collision, which happened about 1.20pm, caused the Mazda to roll over several times.
“There were two passengers in the Toyota and three passengers in the Mazda,’’ she said.
“A 31-year-old man received serious injuries and he along with two other people were airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.
“The other occupants of the vehicles were taken to the Joondalup Health Campus.’’
In an earlier statement police said another 31-year-man and a 27-year- woman had been passengers in the Toyota while a 48-year-old woman, a 16-year-old male and a 16-year-old female had been passengers in the Mazda.
