A MARINE search operation is underway in the Lancelin area for 49-year-old Matthew Phillips who was last seen in Sorrento about 10am on Monday, November 8.
His vehicle has since been located at Grace Darling Park in Lancelin.
Yanchep News Online understands about 50 SES volunteers searched beaches and sandhills until midnight last night for Mr Phillips.
The Joondalup District – WA Police Facebook page says police have urgent concerns about his welfare.
WA Police media said the marine search was currently focused around the Lancelin area and included Water Police, Police Air wing, local police, Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) jet, Department of Fisheries and Lancelin Volunteer Marine vessels.
Mr Phillips, who is a keen and experienced free diver and kite surfer, is described as about 182cm tall, bald with blue eyes.
