CONSTRUCTION work has started on a new park at Atlantis Beach estate in Two Rocks.

Atlantis Beach estate project director Jarrod Rendell said the new Constellation Park had been recently approved by the City of Wanneroo.

Mr Rendell said the focal point of the park would be an underwater marine theme playground with swings, climbing frames, and cubbyhouses, along with an elevated family picnic area with a signature pergola and barbeque area.

The new park is expected to be completed before Christmas.

Mr Rendell said the new park in the Breakwater precinct at Atlantis Beach would eventually be a major central parkland of more than 22,000sqm.

He said the first stage of the park would cover about 7500sqm.

“Constellation Park has been designed to cater for a full range of children from toddlers to early teenagers as the playground includes rope climbing frames, swings and cubbyhouses with designs focused on sea animals, along with a family picnic and barbeque area,’’ he said.
