DO you have a spare hour or two to help pick up rubbish in the Yanchep area on Sunday, March 3?

If you do the Two Rocks Yanchep Residents Association (TRYRA) would like to hear from you.

TRYRA secretary Lorraine Jackson said the association was registered to do a rubbish pick up in the Old Nursery Park and Beachside Pde area starting at 9am.

They plan to finish up with a morning tea in the park about 11am.

She said she has some vests and the Keep Australia Beautiful Council would be sending out bags.

“Bottles of water will be provided and a delicious morning tea will take place at the gazebo in Old Nursery Park when we finish,’’ she said.

“If you are not up to picking up rubbish perhaps you could volunteer to set up the morning tea.’’

The association will be holding its next monthly meeting on Monday, February 25 at 7.30pm at the Y.hub on Yanchep Beach Rd.

At the meeting Yanchep Two Rocks Community Association president Julie Otremba is expected to present the association with the award it won at the Australia Day awards held in Two Rocks on January 26.

Mrs Otremba said the association named the TRYRA as group of the year for its willingness to tackle issues in the area for and on behalf of residents of Yanchep and Two Rocks for the past 40 years.
