PIPIDINNY Rd has re-opened with a 40km/h speed limit but there will be short-term closures of the road and lane closures as the Yanchep rail extension work continues.
A Metronet spokeswoman said Pipidinny Rd was a key connection for communities on either side of the Yanchep rail extension.
“The project team have worked to open this road as quickly as possible, however final stages of bridge work are underway, including installing utility services, retaining walls, drainage, the station car park access and ongoing construction access in the rail corridor,’’ she said.
“The speed limit will remain in place until project completion as road user and workforce safety is a key priority.
“Future short-term closures and lane closures will be required to safely construct Eglinton station and the rail line.
“Test trains will begin later this year with passenger services following the successful testing.”
