PIPIDINNY RD between Marion Ave and Wanneroo Rd will close for about nine months next year as part of the Metronet Yanchep rail extension project.
The closure, which is due to start on March 1, is to enable the safest and most efficient construction of the Eglinton station, widening of a section of Pipidinny Rd, service relocation works and the new permanent road-over-rail bridge on Pipidinny Rd.
While Pipidinny Rd is closed motorists wanting to get from Marmion Ave to Wanneroo Rd and vice versa will have to use Yanchep Beach Rd or Hester Ave.
During the closure the section of Pipidinny Rd between Wanneroo Rd and Beonaddy Rd will be open to local traffic only.
The public comment period for the proposed Pipidinny Rd closure, which started on October 27, finished on November 12 but some drawings are still available on the City of Wanneroo website, which is now assessing the feedback.
The drawings say variable message signs will be installed at least two weeks before the actual closure.
