Police seek info after fatal crash in Carabooda

MAJOR crash officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, May 12 in Carabooda.

WA Police said about 3.50pm, a red 2014 model Jeep Grand Cherokee with four occupants was travelling in a north-west direction along Old Yanchep Rd when the Jeep left the road and continued through bushland before rolling over.

The 43-year-old male driver received life threatening injuries in the crash and died at the scene.

The other occupants of the vehicle were not injured.

Major crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash, or the red Jeep Grand Cherokee travelling in the area prior to the crash.

Yesterday at 4.30pm an emergency alert said RAC Rescue had been sent to a car crash on Old Yanchep Rd, near the intersection of Tomar Rd, in Carabooda.

The alert said career and volunteer fire and rescue service firefighters were at the scene and working to free the person who was trapped.

Then at 5.54pm a follow up alert said RAC Rescue was no longer required at the crash.
