DETECTIVES from the rapid apprehension squad are seeking public assistance as they continue to investigate an armed robbery in Merriwa on Friday, July 26.
Police allege about 10.40am, a man entered a tobacco retail shop located in a shopping centre on Baltimore Parade.
The man browsed the store for a short time before walking behind the counter and producing a screwdriver.
He threatened the staff member with the screwdriver and demanded she open the till.
The man fled the area on foot with a quantity of cash.

The man is described as wearing a black hoody, blue jeans and white runners with a black facemask.
