Private burn causes Cullalla bushfire

AN escaped private burn has been blamed for a bushfire, which started in Cullalla on Thursday, May 24.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) said about 23 appliances from bushfire brigades, including Two Rocks, Guilderton, Gingin West, Gingin South, Wanneroo Fire Support, Wanneroo Central, Upper Chittering, Lower Chittering and Bindoon attended the bushfire.

DFES issued an all clear advice on Friday for Cullalla residents and motorists.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) issued the all clear for people east of Cullalla Rd, south of Barn Rd, west of Bindoon-Moora Rd and north of Mooliabeenee Rd at 10.30am.

DFES, which said it was managing the bushfire, said firefighters would monitor the area for the rest of the day and that although the danger had passed residents and motorist should remain vigilant in case the situation changed.
