THE PTA says it has received some feedback about the possibility of a bus route between Yanchep station and Yanchep National Park.

PTA spokesman David Hynes said recent community feedback had helped shape changes to the supporting bus network ahead of the opening of the Yanchep rail extension.

Community consultation closed on February 16.

“More than 270 people completed an online survey on changes to the proposed bus network, including feedback regarding a bus route between Yanchep station and Yanchep National Park,’’ he said.

“Transperth is now reviewing the feedback it has received and will announce new routes prior to the opening of the Yanchep rail extension.’’

Prior to this Yanchep News Online had asked Transport and Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti if a new route from the Yanchep station to the Yanchep National Park was being considered after a letter from a Yanchep resident and small business owner called for the new routes to include a bus to the national park.

Ms Saffioti’s office directed Yanchep News Online to the PTA for an answer.
