THE Two Rocks Yanchep Residents Association is meeting tomorrow Monday, April 23 at the Y.hub on the corner of Yanchep Beach Rd and Welwyn Ave.

The association had to cancel its March 26 meeting due to a power outage in Two Rocks.

The cancelation meant the new manager at the Y.hub Paul Leone was not able to introduce himself and let TRYRA members know some of the plans the Y.hub has for businesses in the Yanchep and Two Rocks area.

But on Monday with the meeting to be held at the Y.hub Mr Leone will be there to talk about the innovation, research and enterprise hub and answer questions.

At the meeting residents will also be able to hear more about free City of Wanneroo workshops being held in May to support community groups to grow and thrive in the area.

There will also be some information about a  Department of Transport survey on the Two Rocks marina.

In August last year Yanchep Beach Joint Venture executive manager Jon Kelly said the developer had already spent $10 million on the Y.hub buildings and fit out with another $5m to be spent during the next three to five years to help small and medium size enterprises in Yanchep establish and grow.

Mr Kelly said in Yanchep – part of the north west corridor – there was a need for more jobs and in particular “driver” jobs or “knowledge” jobs.

He said the innovation, research and enterprise hub was designed to help small and medium size enterprises in Yanchep establish and grow.

The residents association meeting starts at 7.30pm.
