ANZAC Day services and ceremonies will be held across the City of Wanneroo on Monday 25 April, including a dawn service to be held at Splendid Park this year.

Yesterday the Department of Defence said Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft would conduct a flying display in the skies above Western Australia in support of Anzac Day commemorations.

A PC-21 flying display is due to happen above Wanneroo war memorial at noon, Yanchep National Park at 12.25pm and Lancelin memorial, Gingin Rd at 12.15pm

In a statement the department said flying was subject to variables including air traffic control requirements, weather, and operational availability.

“As such, flypasts and displays may be subject to cancellation at short notice,’’ the statement said.

“Anzac Day is a time to reflect on the contribution made by past and present service personnel who have displayed great courage, discipline and self-sacrifice in choosing a life of service to their country.’’
