A SECTION of Wanneroo Rd from just north of Hall Rd to just north of Hester Ave has had a speed limit increase.
This section used to be a 70km/h zone until recently when the 70km/h sign just north of Hall Rd for traffic heading to Yanchep was removed leaving a 70kmh/h sign just north of the Hester Ave lights with a 90km/h about 100m away.
A Main Roads WA spokeswoman said after the recent upgrades to Wanneroo Rd the speed zones on Wanneroo Rd from Joondalup Dr to north of Hester Ave had been reassessed with the speed limit becoming a consistent 80km/h on that section road section.
This means the previous 70km/h section just north and south of Hester Ave has now changed to 80km/h.
The remaining 70km/k signs were removed on Monday, January 15.
Meanwhile, the Main Roads WA website says Wanneroo Rd from Nowergup Rd to Trian Rd in Carabooda will be reduced to a single lane in both directions and the speed limit reduced to 40km/h from 8pm to 5am until Thursday, January 25.
