TWO Rocks residents may have reduced water pressure from 9pm on Monday, May 30 to 6am on Tuesday, May 31 during emergency works to a damaged water tank outlet, according to the Water Corporation.

Additional work may also be required the following evening.

During the works, a water main will be isolated and scheme water supplied via a temporary pipeline.

Water Corporation’s Perth regional manager Michael Roberts said the works were timed to reduce customer impact.

“We’ve planned work to occur overnight between 9pm and 6am to limit disruption as much as possible,” he said.

“Water pressure will be restored during peak daytime hours to ensure residents and local businesses in the area can go about their day uninterrupted.

“We’d like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and also thank the community for their patience and understanding while crews complete this important work.”

He said as water pressure was restored, customers may experience temporary water discolouration due to an increased flow stirring up natural sediment in the water.

The sediment is harmless and the water is safe to use.

Discolouration will reduce as water and sediment is dispersed throughout the network.
