ENTRIES are now open for local businesses to celebrate success at this year’s City of Wanneroo Business awards, to be held on November 5.

In partnership with the City of Wanneroo and the Wanneroo Business Association (WBA), the awards acknowledge and celebrate business excellence across 11 awards including customer service, technology, start up, innovator, employee of the year and best business based on number of employees.

WBA president Nigel Santa Maria encouraged all businesses to celebrate their successes during the past two years.

Mr Santa Maria said the sheer drive and determination shown from businesses across the region had been inspiring and humbling to watch.

“The resilience of our local business community has been unbelievable,” he said.

“Following a break in the Business Awards last year we are excited for their return this year.”

Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said she was excited to see the awards return this year to celebrate business excellence in the city.

“Our 13,267 local businesses are the backbone of our community, providing local employment opportunities and local goods and services to keep our economy thriving,” she said.

“These awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise their significant contributions, from creating more than 54,000 local jobs through to enhancing amenity for residents and visitors to our city.

“While the past year has continued to present challenges, throughout lockdowns and restrictions I have been very impressed by the commitment and resilience of our active and passionate business community.

“I encourage all local businesses to join this year’s awards night to reflect on and celebrate the past year’s achievements.”

Sponsors for the City of Wanneroo Business awards include the City of Wanneroo, Ertech Holdings, Community Vision, Insight Advisory Group, PerthNow, DevelopmentWA, Complete Home Filtration, Business Station, Fox Mortgage Services and Resolute Security Services.

Entries are open and free to all businesses based in the City of Wanneroo.

If you are based outside the City of Wanneroo you must have been a member of the WBA for at least six months in the lead up to the awards dinner.

Entries close on Monday, October 18.
