Traffic changes during the duplication of Wanneroo Rd in Carabooda

2651

AFTER hours work will be carried out on Wanneroo Rd from south of Romeo Rd to Trian Rd from Sunday, July 3 to Wednesday, July 6, according to Main Roads WA.

The works will take place from 7pm to 5am each day and finish on Thursday, July 7.

To maintain a safe separation between workers and road users, after hours works are required to install safety barriers, lay pavement and undertake line marking.

There will be temporary northbound lane closures and a speed reduction to 40km/h and some minor delays should be expected.

Main Roads WA said the reduction in speed and temporary lane closure was necessary to safely undertake the works.

Until late September this year there will be some traffic changes at the Wanneroo Rd and Romeo Rd intersection.

To construct the new Romeo Rd and Wanneroo Rd signalised intersection, the existing Romeo Rd intersection will temporarily be shifted 200m south.

Northbound and southbound access from Wanneroo Rd will be maintained.

From Wanneroo Rd between Kiro St to Karoborup Rd (north) until late September will be realigned to create space to safely construct the new lanes between Romeo Rd and Trian Rd.

The existing southbound lane will be reconfigured to carry both northbound and southbound traffic in this location.

During the duplication of Wanneroo Rd between Romeo Rd and Trian Rd temporary traffic management will remain in place from south of Romeo Rd to Trian Rd until mid-2023.

This will include temporary speed reductions through the works area to 60km/h and the use of traffic barriers and construction signage.
