TWO men were due in Joondalup Magistrates Court today after incidents involving a stolen vehicle across the suburbs of Neerabup, Gnangara, Landsdale, Wangara, Belmont, Rivervale and South Perth.

Joondalup detectives charged a 31-year-old Gnangara man with seven counts of stealing a motor vehicle, five counts of no authority to drive, three counts of stealing, two counts of aggravated burglary and commit, one count of dangerous driving and one count of possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.

WA Police allege sometime between June 27 and June 28 last year, a black Holden Commodore utility was stolen from a home in Landsdale and subsequently identified as being involved in a number of cross district burglary and stealing offences.

Police also allege multiple stolen vehicle registration plates were also used on the Holden Commodore utility in an attempt to evade apprehension.

“It is also alleged on December 29, 2022 a Toyota Landcruiser was stolen from Landsdale and taken to a property in Gnangara where items were stripped from the vehicle, including a large metal tool box and lights,’’ a police spokeswoman said.

On December 29 last year, Joondalup Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in Gnangara where it is alleged during the search police located the stolen Holden Commodore utility and Toyota Landcruiser as well as various items of stolen property.

Both men were remanded in custody before the Joondalup Magistrates Court appearance on January 25.
