A WASTEWATER infrastructure upgrade including a new 7.6km pressure main along Two Rocks and Yanchep Beach roads is expected to start in early 2017.
Last week the Water Corporation wrote to residents advising them the infrastructure upgrade was necessary to cater for the disposal of increased wastewater flows in the City of Wanneroo.
The utility said as well as the new pressure main along Two Rocks and Yanchep Beach roads the work would include the construction of a new below ground pump station in Charnwood Reserve on Lisford Ave, two belowground emergency overflow storage tanks, connections to new and existing pump stations and internal upgrades to the Abrohlos Close pump station.
The proposal, which is still to obtain all necessary approvals, includes a 250mm diameter pressure main for 6.4km along Two Rocks and Yanchep Beach roads and a 200mm diameter pressure main 1.2km along Two Rocks Rd and 450mm and 300mm diameter main sewers connecting to the new and existing pump stations.
