
MAJOR crash investigators are investigating a fatal crash in Muchea on Thursday, May 5.
A WA Police spokeswoman said about 5am a Toyota Landcruiser was travelling north on Brand Hwy and a Mitsubishi sedan was travelling south when the vehicles collided.
“The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 38-year-old Lennard Brook received life threatening injuries and passed away at the scene,’’ she said.
“The driver of the Toyota, a 30-year-old Singleton man received minor injuries and was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital.
“Investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the crash or the crash itself.

WA Police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 28-year-old Daniel Chadbund during a motorcycle event at Barbagallo Raceway on Saturday, April 30.
A spokeswoman said about 3.05pm Mr Chadbund was riding his motorcycle as part of an official motorcycle event.
“The motorcycle left the track and entered a sand patch, at which point the man became separated from his motorcycle and struck a tyre wall,’’ she said.
“Emergency first aid was provided and he was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.
“He was unable to be revived and was declared deceased a short time later.’’
The spokeswoman said a report would be prepared for the Coroner.
