The City of Wanneroo says it will set a new annual electors’ meeting date and advertise the new date in due course.

THE City of Wanneroo says its annual electors’ meeting, which was due to take place yesterday Monday, December 8, won’t be held until next year.

This morning the city said a date was yet to be locked in.

Back in late October-early November the city gave notice in accordance with section 5.27 of the Local Government Act 1995 that the annual general meeting for December 8 had been cancelled.

Meanwhile, the city is advertising for a new corporate strategy and performance director.

The city’s public notice said the directorate includes finance, workforce, digital systems, property, and procurement.

“The successful candidate will inherit a high-performing team of 176 FTE, including 12 direct reports, who together, drive innovation, strengthen accountability, and ensure the city’s internal systems and capabilities enable outstanding service delivery and sustainable outcomes for the community,’’ the notice said.

The corporate strategy and performance director reports to the chief executive officer.
