A WANNEROO woman has been charged with 43 counts of stealing as a servant.
WA Police allege the 61-year-old woman, who is due in the Fremantle Magistrates Court today, stole more than $560,000 from her employer.
A WA Police spokeswoman said it would be alleged the woman – a staff member at a medical clinic in the southern suburbs – took advantage of the access she had to her employer’s credit card and bank account and conducted unauthorised transactions.
The alleged offences include more than $415,000 worth of bank transfer transactions between 2011 and 2020, where it is alleged, the woman transferred money into bank accounts owned by herself, her family members or companies that provided a product or benefit to her or her family members.
In addition to the alleged bank transfer offences, it is alleged the woman made just over $150,000 worth of unauthorised purchases on her employer’s credit card between 2014 and 2021.
On Friday, April 1 detectives from the financial crimes squad executed a search warrant at Wanneroo residence, where it will be alleged many items linked to the investigation were located and seized.
