Watch and act for Coonabidgee bushfire

A BUSHFIRE watch and act is in place for people in an area bounded by Coonabidigee Rd and Sandringham Rd to the north, Strickland Rd to the east, Tuart Rd to the south, Stewart Rd to the west in the Yeal nature reserve and western part of Coonabidgee.

The fire, which was reported at 10.48am started west of Coonabidgee Rd in Coonabidgee.

At 1.35pm the Parks and Wildlife Service at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions said the bushfire was moving in a north easterly direction.

It is not contained or controlled.

Firefighters are on the scene, actively fighting the fire.
