Witnesses sought after fatal crash

A 57-year-old man has died after crashing his motorcycle on Bindoon-Moora Rd in Mooliabeenee.

MAJOR crash investigators are seeking witnesses who may have seen three motorcycles in the Gingin, New Norcia and Mooliabeenee areas prior to a fatal crash on Bindoon-Moora Rd on Saturday, December 16.

WA Police said the fatal crash happened about 11.30am on Bindoon-Moora Rd in Mooliabeenee when a red 2013 Yamaha motorcycle travelling south left the carriageway and crashed into a culvert near the intersection of Wells-Glover Rd.

A police spokeswoman said the 57-year-old male rider from Ellenbrook died at the scene from injuries he sustained in the crash.

She said the man was in company with two other riders at the time.

“One was riding a grey coloured 2015 Yamaha motorcycle, and the other an orange 2014 KTM motorcycle,’’ she said.
