A YANCHP Beach Rd home has been gutted by fire, which led to the road being closed between Frigate Cres and Marmion Ave for about two hours.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services fire investigation officer Andrew Duckworth said a triple 0 call about the house fire was received at 5.15am on Saturday, April 2.
Volunteer firefighters from the Yanchep brigade and career firefighters from the Butler and Joondalup fire stations attended the fire, which is estimated to have caused about $300,000 damage.
He said there was no one in the three-bedroom, one-bathroom home when fire crews attended.
When Yanchep News Online was at the scene arson squad officers were investigating and a WA Police spokesman said they were still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
Mr Duckworth said the fire had started in the centre of the brick-and-tile home in the kitchen and living area.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said by 7.25am the fire had been nearly extinguished with just a few hot spots and out by about 8.30am.
