A YANCHEP man charged with the murder of his two children is due to appear in the Stirling Garden Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 30.

A WA Police spokeswoman said a bedside court hearing had not taken place on Saturday, October 22 but the matter was heard before the court.

Earlier the same day the police spokeswoman said major crime squad detectives had charged a 35-year-old Yanchep man over the deaths of two children aged three and five years.

She said the man, who remained in hospital in a serious but stable condition, had been charged with two counts of murder.

Just after 9pm on Thursday, October 20 police were called to a home in Flight Vista where they found the two children dead and a man with critical injuries.

The man was taken to hospital while major crime squad detectives started investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths and the injuries to the man.
