Yanchep man faces drug, firearm charges

A Yanchep man is due in court next month after gang crime squad officers searched a Yanchep house earlier this week.

A YANCHEP man is due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Monday, September 11 to face charges including possessing drugs and a firearm.

The 26-year-old Yanchep man was charged along with a 31-year-old Cloverdale man after gang crime squad officers executed a warrant at Yanchep house today, as part of an ongoing operation targeting the Hells Angels OMCG.

The officers seized cash, MDMA tablets, methylamphetamine, cannabis, ammunition, a pen gun, steroids and a number of smoking implements.

The Yanchep man was charged with five counts of possessing a prohibited drug, two counts of an unlicensed person possessing ammunition, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell-supply, one count of possessing a firearm in a circumstance of aggravation and one count of possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property (cash).

The Cloverdale man, who is also due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on the same day, was charged with five counts of possessing a prohibited drug, two counts of an unlicensed person possessing ammunition, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell-supply and one count of possessing a firearm in a circumstance of aggravation.
