DOZENS of families visited Old Nursery Park in Yanchep on Saturday afternoon to check out the Fresh Finds market.

Joshua Norman of Yanchep was among the many children who enjoyed the children’s entertainment.

He was thrilled when he managed to stay on the mechanical sheep for 35 seconds.

The Choo Choo train was another popular attraction with mums and dads often accompanying their children.

The Fresh Finds market gave stallholders from homegrown market gardens and small businesses the opportunity to display their produce.

Live music and food trucks were also at the event, which ran from 4pm to 8.30pm and was part of the City of Wanneroo’s summer community event season

On Wednesday, February 24 Leah Pask from Piesseful Bees Honey said it was a great event and so nice to be supported by the local community.

“I really hope the City of Wanneroo run more of these events,” she said.

“As a small business, it’s very rewarding when you have the support of our locals and start recognising familiar faces.

“(It) definitely gives the feeling of a tight knit community.”
