THE Yanchep Community Men’s Shed is organising a Health and Wellbeing Day on Friday, June 15 and has invited other men’s sheds, including the Gingin Men’s Shed as well.
The Yanchep Community Men’s Shed (YCMS) is inviting men to attend so they can access health information but also get to meet other people.
YCMS secretary Anne Purdy said speakers will present information pertinent to men’s health and wellbeing and also representatives from other organisations who can answer attendees questions.
The event is part of National Men’s Health Week.
Invitations have been emailed to, Ellenbrook Men’s Shed, Quinns Men’s Shed, Gingin Men’s Shed, The Moore Men’s Shed, Wanneroo Men’s Shed, Bethanie Beachside Men’s Shed and Northern Suburbs Men’s Shed.
North Coast councillors, City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts, Butler MLA and YCMS patron John Quigley and the Yanchep and Two Rocks RSL have also been invited.
The free event starts at 9.30am.
Morning tea will has been donated by Yanchep Café.
A tasty ‘Burger a la Bun’ (donated by IGA Two Rocks, Yanchep Chemist, City of Wanneroo, Yanchep Sports and Social Club and a private donation) will be provided for lunch.
The event – part of National Men’s Health Week – will be held at the Yanchep Sports and Social Club, 81 Yanchep Beach Rd.
