A BUSHFIRE alert has been issued for the Yanchep pine plantation in the Shire of Gingin.
At 2.19pm the Parks and Wildlife Service at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions said a bushfire advice was in place for people in the vicinity of Yanchep pine plantation.
The bushfire, which is not contained or controlled, started near the intersection of Santago Rd in Yeal.
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) said firefighters were on the scene, actively fighting the fire.
The fire was reported at 1.45pm.
DBCA said the next update would be provided by 4pm today unless the situation changes.
