TODAY Saturday, October 14 is voting day for the Voice referendum.
In Pearce there are poling places at Alkimos Beach Primary School, Butler College, Butler Primary School, East Butler Primary School, John Butler Primary College, Mindarie Primary School , Mindarie Senior College, Gumblossom Community Centre, Quinns Beach Primary School, Two Rocks Primary School, Yanchep Beach Primary School and Yanchep Lagoon Primary School.
In Durack the polling places available include Gingin District High School, Lancelin Community Hall, Ledge Point Country Club, Seabird Community Hall and Woodridge Community Centre.
Voting centres are open from 8am to 6pm.
It is compulsory to vote for the 17,676,347 people on the electoral roll.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) said any in-person process to this scale with choice of venue may result in queues – be patient.
The AEC said it doesn’t run the barbecues or cake stalls but was aware that many would be in operation.
