SOME residents have raised concerns about the condition of one of the jetties in the Two Rocks marina.

After the Two Rocks fishing competition the residents said the jetty, which people fished from appeared to be sinking.

The Department of Transport sent its contractor to inspect the ramp jetties and access pontoon used for fishing but he was unable to find any issue with it.

Yanchep News Online sent the department a photo (above) of the jetty.

A Department of Transport spokeswoman said as the ramps were on fixed piles and the pontoon was floating the pontoon would float higher than the lowest point of the ramp.

“Therefore, the last section of the ramp has a slight incline during high tide as seen in the photo,’’ she said.

She said this was normal for the jetty.
