A BIG tree falling on Wanneroo Rd started the bushfire in Carabooda yesterday when it affected powerlines that run alongside the road.

The bushfire, which was reported at 4.34am yesterday, resulted in the closure of Wanneroo Rd between Pipidinny Rd and Yanchep Beach Rd.

Today the Parks and Wildlife Service at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions issued an all clear but said firefighters would monitor the area for the rest of the day.
